Cristian Mușat
Electronics & Hardware Automation Engineer
[cite_start]Hi there, I'm Cristi 👋 An electronics engineer hooked on silicon, hardware automation, and the fine line where analog meets digital[cite: 64]. [cite_start]Since 2014, I've been diving deep into the integrated circuits world—from designing low-power blocks to breaking and verifying complex sensors[cite: 64].
[cite_start]Beyond my day job, I’m a chronic tinkerer[cite: 64]. [cite_start]If a device has pins, registers, or an IP address, I probably want to interface with it, measure it, or route its traffic[cite: 64].
🛠️ What I Do
-
[cite_start]
- Silicon Journey: Started in 8-bit MCU analog design (Bandgaps, LVD, BOD, Op-Amps), moved to digital design & verification (CRC, RTC, Touch Controllers, STA), and currently focusing on component verification for high-precision sensors[cite: 64, 65]. [cite_start]
- Hardware Automation: I design custom test plans and write scripts to make bench equipment talk to each other and extract clean data[cite: 65]. [cite_start]
- FPGAs & MCUs: Keeping my skills sharp by writing Verilog code for my FPGA boards, alongside playing with classic microcontrollers as 8-bit PIC/AVR and ESP32[cite: 65].
🧪 The Home Lab (My Happy Place)
[cite_start]I believe you only truly understand hardware when you measure it yourself[cite: 66]. [cite_start]My bench currently features[cite: 67]:
HP Semiconductor Parameter Analyzer & Keithley SMU [cite: 67]
6.5-digit Bench Multimeter [cite: 67]
4-Channel Scope & 2-Ch Function Gen [cite: 67]
3-Channel Lab Power Supply [cite: 67]
